In this article we’ll be discussing the basic difference between the weld and stainless welding. While this is primarily used for welding stainless steel, it also has the ability to weld aluminum and other metals. It has the ability to conduct a much larger current than a typical stainless steel rod and is able to be smaller and produce a high voltage arc (that’s why it’s called a “clean” arc). The weld will stick to the item that you are welding, even after the welding has completed. This is because the tag does not dissolve as easily as a stainless steel rod.
TIG welding is also commonly used in the electronics industry, specifically with liquid flux cored electrodes. You don’t have to use a flux cored wire, which means that you don’t have to worry about dripping molten metal. You also don’t need to worry about oxidation at the welding point (rust). The only thing you have to watch out for is the filler metal feeding through and making sure it doesn’t get too hot before the weld is completed.
TIG welding is a much safer process than what most people realize. It is also a lot more difficult to do than traditional stainless welding, so you must know how to operate it safely if you are going to be using the weld. TIG welding can be done in a variety of different fashions, but typically the welder works from either a horizontal or vertical feed.
